TRACK AND FIELD

WINTER TRAINING
​
In the Winter months (1st October to 31st March) we train at Dorothy Hyman Sports Centre, Cudworth on Mondays from 7.00pm to 8.00pm.
​
We also train INDOORS at the Kings School, Pontefract on Fridays from 7.00 to 8.00 pm.
​
We also do junior road running at Pontefract Rugby Union Club on Thursdays from 7.00 pm.
​
SUMMER TRAINING
​
In the summer months (1st April to 30th September) we train outdoors at the Dorothy Hyman Sports Centre, Cudworth on Mondays from 7.00 to 8.00 pm.
​
We also do junior road running at Pontefract Rugby Union Club on Thursdays from 7.00 pm.
​
We also train on Fridays from 7.00 to 8.00 pm (one hour earlier in September) at the Kings School. We have lots of athletics equipment at the Kings School, which is kept in our own storage container there.
​
Our club also paid for the provision of a Long Jump runway with a polymeric surface at the Kings School and also for an extension of the Long Jump pit from 6 metres to 8 metres.
​
The club has qualified athletics coaches and we are able to coach all events including sprints, hurdles, endurance events including steeplechase, Long Jump, Triple Jump, High Jump, Pole Vault, Shot Putt, Discus, Javelin and Hammer.

ROAD RUNNING
​
We have numerous sessions that our members can attend. Some run once or twice a week, some run more often. We welcome you to choose what suits.

Mon - 6.50pm for 7.00pm start - Pontefract Park. 4 mile and 6 mile options.
Tue - 6.50pm for 7.00pm start - Pontefract Park. Advanced structured session.
Wed - 6.50pm for 7.00pm start - Pontefract Park. Intermediate structured session.
Thu - 6.50pm for 7.00pm start - Pontefract Rugby Union club. Social 5k, intermediate (suitable for ALL abilities) and advanced coached sessions - intervals/fartleks/hills.
